NEWCASTLE — Lancashire slipped to a fifth-straight defeat following a 90-74 loss to current National League 1 leaders Northumbria on Saturday at Sport Central.
Mark Rangeley led the way for the Spinners (5-15, 4-11) with 22 points. David Ulph, who had his fifth double-double of the season, and David Walsh each added 13 points.
Northumbria (21-4, 14-3) hit 14 3-pointers and shot 45 percent from distance on the game. Blayne Freckleton had 22 points and Lewis Champion added 21.
Lancashire briefly held a 7-2 lead early in the opening quarter before being outscored 15-5 over the second five minutes. Northumbria would then extend a 13-point halftime advantage to its largest of 27.
The Spinners, who were outrebounded 47-33, shot 42.9 percent after halftime and 39 on the game.
