Bury Spinners U16s 75, Stockport 41
Joshua McLaughlin led a balanced scoring attack for the Bury Spinners U16s, who had 11 different scorers in a 75-41 win over Stockport on Saturday.
Luc Baldwin added 12 in what was an efficient performance capped by tremendous defensive intensity against a physical Stockport.
Bury led 19-10 after the first quarter behind Mark McCoy’s seven points before McLaughlin took control before halftime, scoring 10 of his points.
Holding a 41-18 halftime advantage, the Spinners methodically extended their lead, highlighted by two 3-point plays by Baldwin.
Kelvin Chen added another 3-point play and converted 3-of-5 shots at the free throw line.

Bury Spinners U16s 89, Manchester Giants II 47
Rob Stansfield exploded for 21 points in the Bury Spinners U16s’ win against Manchester Giants II on Sunday at Elton High School.
Joshua McLaughlin and Sol Prince each added 16 points, as Bury overcame tired legs before hitting their stride in the fourth quarter.
Bury created plenty of opportunities during the opening quarter, but struggled to convert with the score holding at 5-4 after five minutes.
McLaughlin and Prince came off the bench to spark the Spinners, helping them to a 15-8 lead. The duo continued to dominate the scoring with Prince driving to the basket to ensure a comfortable halftime advantage.
Kelvin Chen added six points in the third quarter, but quickly fouled out in as many minutes. Stansfield also began to find his range scoring 15 of his 21 points in the second half.

The Bury youngsters bounced back from their disappointment last week with a demolition of Sefton.
Leon Ramsden scored 29, including three 3-pointers and Boston Brad added 19 for the Spinners. Guerschom Taiwo had 16.
