Hudson scores season-high 25 in loss

NEWHAM, London — Jack Hudson scored 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting, but Lancashire committed a season high 27 turnovers in a 71-67 loss at London on Sunday.

The Spinners (5-13, 4-9 National League 1), who never led, had 17 first half turnovers, which London converted into 19 points and a total of 25 for the game.

Hudson had his sixth 20-point effort — third straight — and set a new season high whilst matching his best of nine made field goals. Mark Rangeley added 14 points as the only other to reach double figures for the Spinners.

Lancashire missed six fourth quarter free throws and finished 21-of-33 at the line after an 8-0 run helped cut the deficit to 65-61 with less than five minutes remaining.

Ausridas Petraitis had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Lituanica (9-7, 7-5), who has won four straight league games despite 19 turnovers of their own. Mantas Guzys scored 16 points.

NOTES: Lancashire was edged 34-26 on points in the paint and outrebounded just 37-35 … Lancashire had 19 points off 19 London turnovers … The Spinners’ bench outscored their opponent 17-8 … London started on a 10-0 run … Largest lead was 13 (35-22) in the second quarter.
