Spinners travel to Leicester

The Lancashire Spinners return from the Christmas break and will travel to Leicester for a 3 p.m. tip off at Braunstone Leisure Centre on Saturday.

Lancashire, who announced the addition of Myerscough College guard Konrad Kantorski, will be without a trio of players. David Ulph, Mike Bernard and Connor Murtagh will miss the trip through injury whilst Aitor Estrada continues to recover from a bought with pneumonia.

Ulph is the team’s leading rebounder at 9.5 per game in eight appearances in National League play. Murtagh, the third leading scorer, has reached double figures in five of the last six games. Bernard, who missed the year’s finale, is coming off his best performance of the season where he finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Westminster.

Mark Rangeley continues to lead the in scoring with 15.5 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting (63-of-144) and 37.3 percent (28-of-75) from 3-point range. He ranks third in rebounding and second in assists.

Jack Hudson ranks second on the Spinners at 14.3 points per game, as well as in rebounding at 6.2 per contest. He has amassed 59 assists (first) in 11 league outings.

Zion Tordoff, meanwhile, is averaging 15.3 points on 48.7 percent shooting (19-of-39) in his last three games, as well as 8.3 rebounds with no turnovers.

Leicester (6-10, 4-8) narrowly fell 79-72 to London ahead of the festive break and is 3-2 over their last five games. All three victories came at home.

Leome Francis and Rodney Sanders are both averaging over 14 points per game whilst Chris McGrew is adding 10.9 points.

Saturday is just the third overall meeting between the two teams with Lancashire sweeping the season series in 2015-16, including an 82-76 win at Braunstone Leisure Centre.
