The Lancashire Spinners are pleased to announce that former Scotland U18 and Myerscough College guard Konrad Kantorski has joined the Division One squad for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.

“Konrad is more than capable to perform at this level,” said Spinners head coach Neal Hopkins. “Like our other junior players Zion [Tordoff] and Spas [Nikolov], he’s experienced at the international level and this is another great opportunity to test himself and continue his development.”

Born in Lublin, Poland, Kantorski (5’10”, 75kg) has seen action for Myerscough at the U18 Premier, NBL3 and Elite Academy Basketball League levels this season. The guard began his junior career at his hometown club the Edinburgh Kings before joining Myerscough in September 2016.

He represented Scotland in consecutive editions of the U18 European Championships (Austria 2015, Macedonia 2016). Kantorski most recently averaged 8.1 points and 2.5 assists in eight games in 2016, and had highs of 21 points against Albania and four assists against a trio of teams.

Through five games in the EABL, the guard is averaging 7.8 points and 3.2 assists and is contributing 18.6 points at the Division Three level.
