Connor Murtagh had 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting for Lancashire, but Derby used a big second-quarter surge to end the Spinners’ short-lived winning streak.
Mark Rangeley and David Walsh, who combined for 47 points at Hemel, totalled just 17 on Saturday at Castle Leisure Centre in an 82-59 defeat.
Lancashire (4-9, 3-5 National League 1) missed its first four shots before grabbing an early 7-0 lead. But the Trailblazers outscored the Spinners 11-6 over the final seven minutes of the opening quarter.
A Lancashire scoring drought of over eight minutes, which end at the halftime buzzer, helped vault Derby (13-1, 8-1) ahead 28-19 following a 13-2 second quarter burst.
Walsh converted a 3-pointer with 7:19 remaining in the third quarter to cut the deficit to five before the Trailblazers scored five-straight points.
Murtagh’s layup closed the gap to 40-32, but Derby methodically pulled away as Lancashire missed its final three shots, a pair of free throws and committed two turnovers to end the quarter.
Brian Amabilino scored 20 points as all five starters for Derby finished in double figures. Rema Lascelles added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
