Ken Masser, General Manager of Basketball England’s Lancashire Spinners, on Sunday announced that forward David Ulph has joined former Liverpool teammate Jack Hudson at the club.

“David is a big body who is going to bring his toughness and enthusiasm to the team,” Masser said. “He’s been an accomplished player at all levels and I admire his willingness to do what is needed in a winning effort.”

Ulph, 23, averaged 14.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for Liverpool in Division 2 this past season, which culminated in a playoffs championship. The power forward shot a league best 65.6 percent from the floor. He set a season highs of 27 points and 17 rebounds against Worcester and Brixton respectively.

Prior to joining the Spinners, Ulph spent three seasons at Liverpool where he won two league titles and three national championships. He turned semi-professional at age 19 with the Mersey Tigers of the British Basketball League in 2012-13. Before playing at the BBL level, he played two years for the Liverpool Under-18s from 2010-11 through 2011-12.
