PRESTON, Lancs. — Connor Murtagh scored 13 points and David Ulph added 11 points and 11 rebounds, but Lancashire lost 79-64 to Hemel on Saturday.
Jack Hudson also had 11 points, but committed seven turnovers for the Spinners (6-17, 5-13 National League 1), who had 19 total, which Hemel converted into 19 points.
Khapri Alston finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds, including six offensive, for Hemel (9-11, 12-13). Nicholas Rhoades had 11 points to help the Storm extend their winning steak to four games.
The Storm managed to build a 27-14 lead with 5:30 left before halftime and Lancashire never got within more than five after the break.
Ulph, who recorded his fifth consecutive double-double, cut the deficit to seven, but Hemel closed the final 63 seconds of the third quarter on a 6-0 run to push the lead to 13.
Lancashire shot just 34 percent from the field and was outscored 42-34 on points in the paint.
